Holiday Survival Tips
The holidays can become a specially stressful time of the year and what we consume and how much rest we give our bodies is specially important. here are my top holiday survival tips!
Top tips for managing stress:
1. Set boundaries and keep them
2. Remember saying no isn’t a rejection, it can often be a protection
3. The quality of your food impacts the quality of your life
4. 8-10 hours of sleep helps your body to restore, rebuild and recover.
5. Be thankful in all things. Choosing to focus on what is going well, can quickly shift your mindset.
6. What you focus on will expand - Proverbs 23:7 says it this way. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
7. Take a nap.
8. Detox baths are wonderful for releasing toxins and stored emotions! 1 cup of Epsom salt, 1-2 cups of baking soda, 2 splashes of apple cider vinegar and a few drops of lavender E.O.
9. Hydrate with fruit!
10. Avoid caffeine - coffee, energy drinks and soda. These are very overstimulating to the nervous system, tank the adrenal glands, and highly acidic.
